1-Updated Introduction and Directory: Posts 2 through 43 Help You Produce Optimal Medical Treatment (OMT) Consistently
I post on Tuesday and Friday and put up threads on the other days. Posts 2 through 47 are a course designed to help individuals achieve OMT and provider organizations consistently produce it. Optimal medical treatment (OMT) is a proven product. It is the new standard of care for patients with stable heart artery disease. Your paid subscription will support you in achieving optimal medical treatment for you and your family. It supports medical organizations in producing optimal medical therapy consistently. I will be available by phone, text, or email to answer your questions as part of your subscription. You should be able to count on receiving OMT whether you live in Sarasota or Seattle. OMT has the greatest impact in the highest risk and highest cost diseases. This whole site will be updated regularly and is intended to be an ongoing resource that you can refer to whenever you like. Substack is not supported by advertising which always distorts the message. I have no conflicts of interest. Your modest subscription price of supports content that is not distorted by advertising or conflicts.
The critical content is from post 2-47. It helps patients learn effective self-management. It is focused training for your advanced cardiometabolic medical home teams. Reading each post takes 10 to 20 minutes. When the 42 posts are completed, your providers should be comfortable enough to treat these patients effectively. They should be able to reduce deaths after a heart attack or stent by 90%. Each post is extensively linked so that professionals and laymen can satisfy themselves that the science supports the recommendations. This content is educational and is not meant to be a substitute for your primary care doctor. The initial subscription price will be $6 per month.

You can have better health at lower cost with little more effort than it takes to brush your teeth. I know that you are bombarded by messages like this all the time but this one is different. These posts will be supported by science, facts, evidence, data, and the truth. Better health depends on a trusted source of information that supports you in preventing and treating chronic disease while slowing aging. I will be your advocate by only putting up information that I have very carefully vetted and that I believe to be true.
There is strong evidence that we can have better health at lower cost.
1. The United States spends twice as much as other developed countries on healthcare and has a lower life expectancy than most. Singapore has much better life expectancy for one third the cost.
2. Our own National Academy of Medicine laid out a guidebook to improve our system in 2001. Our system is designed to address acute disease while chronic conditions generate most costs. Our failure to adjust to these realities contributes to increased cost and worse outcomes.
I would like to subscribe but can’t figure out how!
