Think about it. When I started seeing patients, primary care practice was the same as it is today. Patients made an appointment, drove to an office on the appointed day, walked into the office, checked in with the receptionist, sat down in a waiting room, were called back to an examining room by a licensed practical nurse or medical assistant who measured your pulse and blood pressure, and then waited in the examining room until the doctor got to you. The interaction with the doctor is the same too. One patient, one doctor— that is the interaction.
