Yup! Our work on large scale data mining found that the nuclear stress has a paltry “accuracy” of 38%! It is a typical example of One Sigma! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 Ironically, nuclear stress test is promoted as the “gold standard” test of cardiology. Another example is coronary angiogram which detects “obstructive coronary artery disease” which is about 15% of all ischemic heart disease. It is the standard of care for the legacy medicine. It is tragically laughable!🤣😂

Stress tests and catheterizations in stable patients are all waste.

Yeah. They are abused and over exploited. I would never push for any stress test for a patient who maybe hemodynamically unstable. It is too dangerous, frankly. Coronary angiogram is not a functional test, most people suffering from acute heart failure have no obstructive coronary arteries disease at all! Also, coronary interventions produce no better outcomes when compared to conservative treatments, as the 12-year 100+ million “Ischemia” trial definitely determined. So, why are we still hanging on to these legacy tests? That’s the question!

The one revelation from the $100 million dollar “Ischemia” trial is swept under the rug is the fact the data showed that both arms of the trial, the interventional arm vs. the conservative treatment arm, generate 13-15% MACE rates including deaths. This is huge gaping hole in the system, no one is talking about. The low standards are to blame.

When a patient is suffering from increased myocardial compliance due to myocarditis, cardiomyopathy, Broken Heart syndrome due or upsurge in stress hormones, stress tests can induce myocardial ruptures and death!

Yup. They deem the ruptures are “decompensation,” imagine the horror!

PATIENTS HAVE NO IDEA!

My friend's husband's cardiologists wants to put another eluting stent into him. I explained and asked that he ask questions at the very least.

Medicare, and the insurance companies pay for procedures, not for physicians to use their brains.

So crazy.

Adding insult to injury, neither of these “gold standard” tests in the main cardiology arsenal detects metabolic heart disease at all! Zero chance!
