“We must all hang together, or we shall hang seperately.” That quote is attributed to Benjamin Frankin around the time the colonies declared independence. They were taking on a huge task, failure was not an option, and joint effort was needed to accomplish the goal.
The challenge for American medicine is similar today. It is not serving our people well and massive change is needed. The challenge is enormous. Extensive reengineering is required and no one person or institution can accomplish it. Every professional who understands the challenge and potential must work together to accomplish this important goal. Every American can contribute in some way to developing a health care system that serves us better. You can vote for politicians who will support negotiate drug prices, value-based payments, and price transparency. We can all have a role. We are bringing together stakeholders who understand we must hang together to produce change. Contact us if you are ready. whbester@gmail.com
Only 246 years young and our nation still shines, warts and all, Dr. Bill. Thanks for sharing.🤗
Bill: Good points. However, I am quite doubtful about change through political channels. The Dems use all of the issues as a means to raise money. I gets dozens of emails from the DNC and various campaigns with dire predictions and terrible outcomes threatened, with payment to them being the preferred (only?) solution offered. We know the MAGA folks have been running campaign scams for years now. Is there any party that favors ACTION for reform and improvement and unity of purpose? I don’t see one out there.
