Heart disease kills more women than men and more than all forms of cancer combined. Optimal medical therapy is the most effective treatment for heart artery disease in women. Don’t you think we should deploy the systems to produce optimal medical therapy for women more effectively now?
Of course we should, but it won't happen until all women have access to decent, let alone excellent, medical care. Too many of the working poor have no insurance and no access to community health centers with sliding payment scales. Then there is the issue of paying for medication, even inexpensive medication, in some cases. Those on Medicaid are covered, but those whose income is too high for Medicaid and too low for the ACA are stuck.
