This is fascinating. Thank you for putting it out there. I think if more ppl knew what health care was like in other countries, perhaps there'd be more of a push to improve it here in the US.

Thank you. I subscribed to your Substack and recommended it. Can you tell me a bit more about your backgrounds. If you want to do it privately my email is wbestermann@congruityhealth.com. We can have a better health system quickly we must calmly examine facts and evidence to make progress.

We need disruptive innovation, preferably from a privately held for-profit B Corporation, outcomes-accountable nonprofit, or pioneering public sector enterprise bringing lessons learned from an adjacent social-benefit sector. I am concerned that our democratic system has been compromised by lobbying dollars, etc., so the will of the people is unlikely to prevail unless the people vote for disruptive healthcare breakthroughs, best practices, and benchmarks with cold hard cash. Kudos to you, Bill, for making the issues more transparent for those who don't yet have your vantage point.

Thanks Synthia. There are multiple stop loss and TPA options and the claims are paid by the employer. It seems to me that a move toward this model could begin now for employers who are willing to be innovative.

Great post. Where’s the employer leadership for making this happen? Let’s surface that and get this show on the road!! One of the first steps will be isolating truth from fiction - with propaganda so pervasive - it’s become the critical first agenda for employer leadership.

Thanks Jeff. Your comment is important. There is no reason we cannot do this in the US. Governance by the consumer works at the SouthCentral Foundation. Health insurance for self-insured employers governed by elected representative from workforce and management makes total sense and insures transparency to those who are paying the bill.

The question is always how do we get there and keep the cause unified. The forces we’re opposing - status quo operatives - are quite intentional in keeping a gravy train going that serves them well but ruining the economic futures of so many.

We roll up our sleeves and begin the journey! We will encounter challenges as long as we are doing this but we can overcome them.

The perpetrators are Medtronic and Edward Sciences, imagine that! Got my point across now? Folks?

In the American Med 2.0, it is the “key opinion leaders’ opinions” that sells, not the real meritorious empirical evidence. In the American med 2.0, it not what you know, what is best for patients and lowers the cost counts, it is who you are connected to and if you are part of the diabolical “elites” of the thoroughly corrupt American Medical Industrial Complex Racket that really count to control the markets and thus the population. Imagine that!

Do you know that 93% of the prescription drugs and 99% of the devices used in the legacy med 2.0 have no discernible safety and effectiveness data? Yup, shocking, right? The “data” used to promote these costly and ineffective measures are simply cherry picked to suit the paymasters preordained narratives to sell their products by the bribed “scientists” “investigators” who prostitute themselves to gaslight the masses, including the unsuspecting average American physicians. Yup, all these are true.

Further more, the American Legacy Med 2.0 has the dubious distinction of being the third cause of deaths behind Cardiovascular Diseases and Cancer. Simultaneously, the Legacy Med 2.0 costs $8 trillion dollars annually, bankrupting our economy. Imagine that. If we, the people, collectively fail to stop this monstrosity, it will be our own fault to allow this evil to flourish and take away our health, wealth, and freedom!

The corrupt system is completely broken. A better way must not involve the corrupt government bureaucracy Americans are under. The revolving doors of Washington DC Swap spin out the same characters who are rigging the system with the mainstream propaganda machine support. These characters give us a legacy of “Late-Stage-Sickness-Seeking-Profiteering” kabuki dance theatrics sponsored by the American Medical Industrial Complex. All the legacy system, or I call it Med 2.0, is to diabolically gaslight and viciously plunder the Unsuspecting American Population. Enough. A complete systematic overhaul is required to save all of us!
