Metformin is a critical drug for patients with a high risk for heart attack who have diabetes or prediabetes. Patients on optimal medical treatment including metformin had one fourth as many heart attacks. If you have a history of type 2 diabetes, your should be taking metformin even if your glucose level is normal. What do you think?

Sounds like a great plan! I would suggest the ER version. Easier on the stomach, better control!
