It would be wonderful if you shared the relevant citations regarding MI risk reduction and other DM complications. Appreciate what you have written here.

Thank you. Most of my posts are extensively linked and I will go back and do a better job on this one. Best practice care is what I write about.

thank you for this information, I'll consider it, along with my own studies. A couple things that stand out to me from my perspective;

1. Your comment, "I am an internal medicine physician and I get questions like this all the time. “Why should I take a medicine when I can control my pressure, sugar, and cholesterol using natural supplements and vitamins.” Ever wonder why you get this question all the time? Could it be that people are increasingly distrustful of the pharmaceutical industry? Can you blame us?

Now, I'm not one to throw the baby out with the bathwater, but after decades of my own experiential R&D, and having met so many "healthcare providers" that are completely ignorant of nutrition and healthy alternatives, I've had to take my health into my own hands, and I know I'm not alone in this.

2. The other comment, "There is no comparable data for treatment with supplements and vitamins." Again, this doesn't mean it doesn't work, it just means the medical/pharma industry won't fund and allow these kinds of research. That makes it suspect in my book.

I conclude that as this whole situation progresses, people will either continue on a controlling, and co-dependant path to nowhere, or figure out what works for themselves, thereby negating the need for a bloated system to get and keep them well. I'm glad there are people in position now that will start turning the tide in the right direction.

This is not to say I don't believe there are still "good doctors" that are truly upgrading their knowledge and finding a way to become the healers they have a heart to be. I sense you are one of them, I hope you can start providing healthcare that all those patients are asking for.

Thank you for the information!

Thank you for your wonderful detailed information. My issue is not with our Doctors, it is a system that prevents Doctors from prescribing drugs off label.

---------------

Why I seek natural alternatives:

During Covid, we could not get the very effective Hydroxychloroquine (very safe and taken by people with Lupus, every day) nor the fabulous Nobel winning drug Ivermectin, used for many infections in humans all over world for years with very few side effects.

Research now shows these both work but early studies used the ‘wrong dosage’ at the wrong time to make people think there were no meds. I took the ‘Horse’ Ivermectin paste after reading veterinarian comments that it is a very pure product, and also horses are more sensitive to added or problem ingredients than humans are.

By the way, neither my husband or I went to the hospital or died from Covid, and we treated ourselves successfully as we had no other choice! No trust left: they apparently want us dead in the ‘sick care’ industry as long as the hospitals get big bucks for deadly treatments like the ventilators and Remdesivir for CV19 and they even got a bonus for each ‘Covid’ death. A perverse incentive!

Many doctors were in the middle, those that treated Covid with Ivermectin and SAVED their patients, were demonized and lost jobs or had threats to medical licenses and Board certifications.

Most would not prescribe either drug because of a legitimate fear of reprisals against them by their employers, even though it is legal to prescribe off label if the doctor deems it likely to be helpful.

------------------

So with a BMI of 31, and basically otherwise good health except hypothyroid, it is very unlikely I can get a Metformin RX from my PCP even in the 5.4 to 5.8 A1C pre-diabetic range. This would likely help me with weight and extend my lifespan (now age 74).

This is why we must search for natural products that have similar effects to the RX’s and learn how to make a stable extract on our own.

I hope things will change so that Doctors can once again be healers with the freedom to workout the best treatments with their patients and also with the freedom to use drugs for ‘off-label’ purposes if they believe it will be helpful. I believe many of them hate the current system and are retiring as soon as feasible.

Thank you for all you do to get the truth out about important treatments. It is greatly appreciated by all of us.

Again, you are promoting Metformin only...

Not answering the question.

Dr. Minkoff, Dr. Moise, Dr. Levy...

All who focus on detoxifying the body cite numerous studies which prove beyond a doubt the regulation of diet, Limited removing Processed chemically produce ( fake foods) like chips, and High fructose corn syrup , removing seed oils ( sunflower, canola) sugary liquids, and fake salt....

Replacing with :

WHOLE REAL food,

Celtic/ Himalayan salt, realoils( avacado, coconut, olive)

No fried foods...

High Dose Liposomal Vitamin C, and other natural minerals and substances...

When introduced to the body...

Will help the entire biome self regulate and stabilize and reduce toxic load.

Thus helping the system :

Pancreas, liver to reduce the overproduction of insulin etc.

please, sir...

Please...

There is a plethora of proven results and research

AI is half the story...

Metformin is a tool not a panacea....

No problem, however these persons were intentionally cited by name so anyone interested may follow through and research each of the cited Dr.'s, their protocols, etc. online, at their personal interest level.

The Dr. 's all have websites, and are serving in helping people who find them in real time.
