The primary care doctors are not paid to run from room to room They are paid to achieve results for their patients. The source video is great. Your thoughts?
Whether fee for service or managed patient home, the point of all treatment should be to help patients live as healthy a life as possible. Unfortunately every patient does not have the opportunity to see a doctor in a managed care environment. For example, though my primary care doctor is part of a large practice that includes rheumatologists, nephrologists, pulmonologists and other specialists, the format is still fee-for-service. I can only hope they are actually coordinating my care since they all have access to the same charts, as does the local hospital.
