The entire concept that I shall eventually be expected to trust an inanimate pre-programmed entity.
Each human is distinct and unique, this entity is not. It is an amalgam of facts and figures and responses accumulated categorized and applied en Mass for the masses.
Yet, like everything else, you already have takers that are curious...
This is amazing how gullible and trustworthy people have become...
This AI powered application is no replacement for your doctor. To protect your health maximally, you must have a trusting relationship with a primary care physician. I worked with thousands of patients as an internal medicine physician who practiced preventive cardiology. I became friends with most of them. My practice was entirely high touch. Cardiovascular conditions including diabetes are all related by epigenetics, molecular biology, and related signaling. Now we know how to give you much better health at much lower cost, and it is shocking how good AI is at providing you with the latest information. We have closed the gap between what is done and what is known. We trained the machine. Give it a try at no cost. I think you will be as surprised as I was.
If I needed to check with a machine first, or the internet would not be my primary source...
When I did consult with the internet and had printed out factual information, back in the mid 2,000's the information was factual, and could have been easily implemented by the Doctors, but it was not 'protocol' in the USA so, it was dismissed. Now I am to believe that the Dr's, since they helped "build" this AI I am to depend on this as factual?
As a simple layperson, I have already noticed while researching medical information online, the dramatic shift to pat/similar explanations. This AI shall homogenized medicine soon enough, as the specialists in these fields are shrinking exponentially and those who designed the AI may be retiring sadly soon.
For the time being, I would much rather ( while I still am able) interact first with my Primary who will of course refer to the AI since there may be no other option. Science and the economy are rapidly moving in to biometrics anyhow...
BTW In medicine, there seems nothing which is 'low cost'...the delaying of death has even been monetized exponentially... I just hope we do n't need visit a Dr., hospital or AI any time soon.
I am sure you can read my skepticism which is of course due to some very traumatic interactions with the medical profession. I mean no disrespect to you and the work you are doing. The road is full of good intentions. Thank you for providing a platform for one to express concerns...and for taking the time to respond. Much appreciated.
Even though I am a physician I will tell you that you are right to be skeptical. Our system does not serve us well. That is our goal. We bring products that are designed to serve you better. We are not about good intentions. We digest the latest science and systems that are proven more effective than the care most people receive and we bring it to you in a form that is inexpensive and convenient. Check out this interview with Fareed Zakaria and Reid Hoffman, the founder of LinkedIn on just this topic.
Your doctor draws on a lot of information that is not about you personally. He must adapt it to you as best he can. Does being "animate" enable that? Or is it a matter of adjusting his knowledge according to what little he knows about you from brief visits and some blood work? The AI has the potential to know you much better through constant input, including that blood work and things like daily or more glucose readings. So go to your doctor and also use the AI. Let them work together for you.
There is an unspoken interaction called human connection. This human interaction is subconcious. The participants look into one another's eyes for color, brightness, assess skin tone, skin elasticity, vocal tone and each determine the level of trust they can impart upon one another during these split second interactions. This is how astute humans are able to interpret wether someone is competent or not, this is why there are Judges and Jury's humans 'read' one another. This is why humans choose their own Primary doctors, dentists, Pharmacists, lovers... human interaction... I realize the Dr. will use AI and I shall be grateful when and if I ever need to deal with the medical profession. But when/if a Dr. or professional chooses to rely solely on AI as opposed to their own intuition, (and that day seems soon) woe to humanity...
This does not replace any of that. It gives you access to more information anywhere, anytime, that you don't have access to your doctor. It extends his capacity to help you. It is not either or. It is both.
Amazing
You can give it a spin for a week free of charge. Try it out.
Is it released?
Yes excited

I even have reservations
regarding my Primary at this point...

Thanks for that. See my similar answer to Vinnie above.

I need to ask it about colon cancer.
This application is focused on cardiovascular and related conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure
Ok, thank you. Thank you for your kind attention.
Frightening.
What part is frightening to you?
