Bill: Such an interesting post and conversation. I wonder what this person, and persons like her, are really saying when they discredit science and approve of ivermectin. It may be something like “I’m a disappointed person. Life has failed me and not met my expectations in so many areas that I no longer trust anyone or anything that represents the mainstream. Why should I trust doctors and scientists?” Disappointment and anger are dangerous drugs, capable of making theri users vulnerable to con men, cults, and authoritarian politicians. But I do understand and empathize with people who were over-promised about the benefits of science, technology and, yes, medicine. One has only to watch the commercials on TV and social media for the current crop of wonder drugs for treating cancer, growing hair, and ridding one of bad odors to realize these impossible-to-realize promises are still being made, all to sell some product or service.

You are right. Our system does not serve patients well. Patient-centered care is rare. As you suggest, there is another existential threat to scientific medicine that I think is a root cause of many other problems. "The grip of financial self-interest in US health care is becoming a stranglehold, with dangerous and pervasive consequences. No sector of US health care is immune from the immoderate pursuit of profit, neither drug companies, nor insurers, nor hospitals, nor investors, nor physician practices."

I was recently on a call with an attorney and others. She was discussing the Consolidated Appropriations Act. She said the fiduciary obligation of big health insurance companies is to their stockholders, not to their customers. The quote above is from Don Berwick, one of the leaders of the healthcare quality movement. The people who are upset with American medicine are right to be upset. It does not serve them well. Greed is pervasive. It is a barrier to progress.

Can’t say that they are ones to blame. Fifty plus years of “Wild Goose Chasing” taught us that we have all been lies to ourselves. https://open.substack.com/pub/mcgdoc/p/stop-the-50-years-of-wild-goose-chase?r=q7iae&utm_medium=ios&utm_campaign=post

I can say that I represent science. Real science is under attack. I am a practical scientist. I do my best to translate real science for the benefit of my patients. Name calling and personal attacks do not advance the ball. Rants don't advance the ball. Please refrain from that kind of activity.

Might this has something to do with the confusion about what is science and what isn’t:https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2023/04/14/companies-control-global-propaganda.aspx

This is a site that sells health products like vitamins and minerals. It is not a reliable source of scientific medical information.

The poorly informed " answer" writer has failed to read over 90 papers clearly showing benefit of ivermectin protocol when done correctly. 200+ papers on hydroxychloroquin for prophylaxis and early treatment. And many more papers of other effective various early treatment protocols. The papers the " answer writer" mentions are poorly designed, designed to fail, with subpar or downright dangerous methods...with agendas and funding that is not trustworthy.

When a so called "expert" begins spouting such ignorance and exhibits a total lack of their own critical thinking skills, well, it is tragic. And people suffered. I have lost all faith in mainstream medicine and journals. Something I never would have dreamed 5 years ago. FLC CC Dot net will provide plenty of good solid research papers

Hey, bring it on! The New England Journal of Medicine and the Journal of the American Medical Association trump FLC CC Dot net every day. When you say you have lost all faith in mainstream journals you make my case better than I could. I will freely admit, I am not an expert in COVID, but I am a leader in optimal medical therapy for chronic illnesses. The best medical journals have updated vascular science so that our patients have very few heart attacks and strokes. There are studies that are set up to produce certain results and I have called them out. The only path to better health at lower cost is through scientific medicine.

I hope the promoters of the vaccines and new “antiviral” agents which cost us tens of billions would show us the full datasets honestly and transparently to restore people’s trust. Unfortunately, that’s a pipe dream, which none of us are holding on to any longer. The medical industrial complex sponsored “trials” and their so-called “evidence” are amounting to “zero” values in the real world. So, bill, let’s be real here, sir!

Broad condemnation of medical research does none of us any good. I admit medical research could be better. The answer is to point out the errors and make constructive suggestions about ways to make it better.

Before we accept that responsibility, and start correcting the wrongs, the systematic failure will never be reversed.

Just stating proven facts. Denying facts and ignoring the causes of the systematic failure are not “scientific.” Calling out Fauxi for his major role in causing the depora is justified.

Acknoleding the failure must accompany holding those who are resposboble for this debacla. They must be exposed and called out. It IS NOT PERSONAL.

I have been doing my personal best to contribute to the betterment the system as you may acknowledg my work. Pointing out the factual failure and calling out those who claim to “really present science” while suppress descending views are everryone’s duty. This is NOT personal. It is OUR civil duty.

.... ( continued) all the way up to a number of them in their 70s and 80s and 90s, some with cancer some with severe heart problems all of them scared and dismayed that their doctors sent them home. Every single person who followed the early treatment protocol was well within 3 days with no lingering side effects. No long covid. No hospitals. None.

My own husband now 80 Did the prophylaxis treatment from June 2021 until a couple of months ago. Both of us continued to live our lives completely normally the entire covid time. We never isolated, we never acted paranoid, masked only when forced. He has stayed completely healthy. The same for me except in December 2021, I voluntarily got off Ivermectin an in order to purposefully get covid. I had an important job coming up and more importantly we had twin grandchildren arriving and I did not want to deal with covid and isolation at that point. To me since I was ready with the early treatment protocol, I wanted to get it over with and get natural immunity . My plan worked. I Got sick within 12 days of stopping my prophylaxis. I had my early treatment protocol ready and began within 3 hours of the 1st symptom i had every symptom it seemed for 36 hours. aches, chills, headache, high temperature, loss of smell and taste and profound weakness, sweats and chills, profound fatigue. Positive rapid and pcr tests. But at 2 Am ( 36 hours and 2 early treatment doses in) i woke up covered in sweat and my symptoms were gone 36 hours after first 2 early treatment doses and protocol. I was indeed tired for the next 2 days but by day 5 I was completely 100% find. My taste and smell came back on day 5. When we travel and fly overseas or on long distance flights I get back on the prophylactic protocol twice a week and I stay completely healthy no matter how many cabins, busses, planes I'm crammed into.

But be my guest if you want to believe the mainstream. Keep getting those boosters! Keep getting covid over and lose at least 10 days of your life each time. For me I'm not gonna do that!!

But I have certainly watched friend after friend get multiple cases of covid and multiple doses and get sicker and sicker and refuse early treatment With highly effective repurposed drugs. It's ridiculous but that's their choice. I have quit trying to convince people. But the papers are there but you've got to use some gumption and read them. That is why I pointed you to the F LCC website. It's the easiest place to find an overwhelming amount of positive information on prophylaxis and early treatment with easily available repurposed drugs and supplements
