I hope everyone reads this message. I was on a cruise recently and was shocked to see the number of over-weight and even obese people - and the types of foods high fat foods served 24 hours a day. It seemed like a microcosm of the larger problem.

It is a microcosm. It is not just on cruises. California seems to be an exception. I visited there not too long ago and went to a local event. There were many fewer overweight people. The restaurants I want to did not automatically put bread on the table. We can do better.

We absolutely can - actually and must. I live in California, so maybe that's why I see it so clearly. What also bothers me about restaurants is the size of the portions. My daughter always split an entree. I used to feel guilty but no longer.

In most places in the United States, it is not available. In England, it is the standard of care heart conditions.
