Mark Houston: ““Numerous clinical trials suggest that we have reached a limit in our ability to decrease the incidence of coronary heart disease (CHD) and cardiovascular disease (CVD) utilizing the traditional diagnostic evaluation, prevention and treatment strategies for the top five cardiovascular risk factors of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, obesity and smoking”.
I think you are correct. It is all driven by oxidative stress. Eating a very large meal increases oxidative stress in real time. So does extra abdominal fat and cigarette smoke. Diet, exercise, lisinopril, statins, and metformin together reduce oxidative stress to produce much better outcomes. My email is whbester@gmail.com. Let's stay in touch.
Let's get her the followup MCG Test session asap to measure her physiological recovery. This is an exciting milestone!
I look forward to seeing the result
Me too!
My friend has resistant high blood pressure. Going to show her this.
Thank you.
Most with resistant hypertension should be on spironolactone or eplerenone
Me too!
Does she plan on speaking with her provider about Spironolactone? Would like to hear how that works for her if she does try it.
We have not spoken and I don't know. I have dealt with many patients like this and spironolactone is great in this setting.
