Most with resistant hypertension should be on spironolactone or eplerenone

Does she plan on speaking with her provider about Spironolactone? Would like to hear how that works for her if she does try it.

We have not spoken and I don't know. I have dealt with many patients like this and spironolactone is great in this setting.

I think you are correct. It is all driven by oxidative stress. Eating a very large meal increases oxidative stress in real time. So does extra abdominal fat and cigarette smoke. Diet, exercise, lisinopril, statins, and metformin together reduce oxidative stress to produce much better outcomes. My email is whbester@gmail.com. Let's stay in touch.
