Too many practitioners in medicine have lost touch with the reality that adherence to recommendations depends on the trust built from prior experiences. “I don’t care about how much you know until I know how much you care.”

Thank you Jerry for sending me this important article. Caring relationships and trust take time to cultivate as you say. Chronic disease generates most death, diseability, and cost but we still have not set up the systems to improve care. We won't have better health at lower cost until we make the required change.

Absolutely! I believe that the number is much worse than that, especially having experienced all the shenanigans during the pandemic. All bets are off now in this horribly broken American Legacy Sickness Seeking Profiteering Practice of Medicine.
